In my mind, photography is meant to be enjoyed as a communal activity. The sense of coming together around a series of images, remembering times past. This is why I am such a big believer in the getting your photos printed. What greater gift is there than a memory memorialised.

I don’t know about you, but with each year that goes by, and in the busyness of day to day life, I tend to find that somewhere along the road certain memories have entirely slipped through my fingers. It’s only occasionally when we allow ourselves time to fully stop; that we realise just how much time has passed us by. That little baby is still your baby, but is no longer so little.

It’s here we sometimes need the help of a tangible aid in order to remember. And it’s then when we draw out those old dusty albums. Within an instant we are transported back to different time. To the smell of our babies heads or the sound of our children giggling. This is the substance of pure magic.
